REGIONAL AGREEMENT ON EMPLOYMENT AND LOCAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE MARINA ALTA: PACTE'MA

Acuerdo comarcal en materia de empleo y desarrollo local de la MarinaAlta

The Regional Agreement on Employment and Local Development in the Marina Alta —PACTE’MA— was created in 2017. Nowadays, it consists of 32 city councils and 13 public and private entities of the Marina Alta.

Within the PACTE’MA, our territory joins the Avalem Territori Plan of the Generalitat Valenciana,

which focuses on the unique potential of each region and on the appropriateness of employment policies in the territory and in each productive sector.

The Agreement on Employment in the Marina Alta is promoted by Creama as an expert and recognised organisation in the field of employment and local development. Moreover, the Consortium holds the Technical Secretariat of the Agreement, from where the projects and actions of the Regional Agreement are promoted.

By the completion of the territorial analysis of the Marina Alta (2017) promoted by the Regional Agreement/Acuerdo Comarcal, the results of this study were presented to all citizens and territorial agents and the priority strategic axes were established through a participatory and democratic process.

Since 2018, pilot programmes are being implemented in accordance with the priority strategic axes, with funding from Labora – the Public Employment and Training Service of the Generalitat Valenciana.
